Miami Neon Jungle Inspired Destination Wedding at Penthouse Riverside Wharf

Planning, Design and Production by Pink Wasabi ♡

On a vibrant January day in 2025, the allure of Miami provided the perfect backdrop for Claudio and Karina’s breathtaking destination wedding at Penthouse Riverside Wharf. Embracing a bold Neon Jungle theme, our team transformed the venue into a captivating oasis where tropical charm, modern elegance, and Latinidad came together in perfect harmony.

A Bold Welcome Into the Jungle

As guests arrived, they were met with an unforgettable entrance: a tropical neon tunnel adorned with hand-painted greenery, vibrant florals, and whimsical LED accents. This striking corridor instantly immersed guests in the colorful energy of the evening and set the tone for the celebration to come — equal parts magical, sophisticated, and delightfully bold.

A Family Welcome, Full of Flavor

The celebration began with an eye-catching display of desserts and drinks curated by Claudio, Karina, and their spirited ten-year-old son, Manolo. The welcome cocktail and mocktail station was a vibrant tribute to tropical flavors, featuring colorful fruit infusions, fresh herbs, and playful garnishes. This warm and joyful detail reflected the couple’s personality and made every guest feel like part of their family.

Honoring the Past: A Modern Ofrenda

One of the most touching moments of the event was the modern ofrenda, a beautifully designed altar created in memory of loved ones who had passed. Surrounded by soft candlelight and delicate floral offerings, this sacred space invited guests to pause and reflect — blending tradition with design in a heartfelt tribute to legacy and love.

Sensory Splendor in Every Detail

As the evening progressed, the penthouse came alive with texture, light, and sound. Stunning floral arrangements filled the space with the scent of fresh blooms, echoing the lush, exotic beauty of Miami’s landscapes. Custom neon signage added a playful modern edge and created one-of-a-kind photo moments. An expertly designed lighting plan transformed the penthouse into a dreamscape, moving in rhythm with the live band and DJ who kept the energy going well into the night.

Cuisine as Cultural Celebration

The culinary experience was nothing short of artistic. Guests were treated to Latin-inspired hors d’oeuvres and small plates, including savory empanadas, vibrant ceviche, and other flavorful delicacies that celebrated Claudio and Karina’s cultural roots. Each dish was thoughtfully selected to bring people together and honor the couple’s heritage in the most delicious way possible.

Even the elder guests were cared for with intention — seated at a beautifully styled royal table designed with comfort and elegance in mind. It was a space where they could relax and dine leisurely while soaking in the atmosphere of celebration around them.

First Dance, Lasting Glow

As the sun dipped behind the Miami skyline, the soft glow of neon reflected the love shining in every heart. Claudio and Karina shared their first dance surrounded by family and friends, bathed in light, laughter, and the undeniable magic of the moment.

With every detail meticulously planned and every space infused with joy and intention, this Neon Jungle wedding was more than a celebration — it was a luminous tapestry of tradition, family, and connection that will live on in memory long after the final song faded.

In celebrating their union, Claudio and Karina also celebrated community, culture, and the art of hospitality. Their wedding proved what we at Pink Wasabi Events believe with our whole hearts: love — like the boldest tropical bloom — is meant to be shared, celebrated, and experienced in full color.

This gorgeous couple from NYC, by way of the beautiful islands of Trinidad and Tobago, hosted their modern tropical wedding at one of South Florida’s most enchanting venues — the Living Sculpture Sanctuary. Surrounded by lush foliage and botanical beauty, Christian and Cheyenne’s wedding was a perfect reflection of their love story: deeply rooted in culture, effortlessly elegant, and entirely unforgettable. The outdoor ceremony was enveloped by rich tropical decor with thoughtful, luxurious accents designed to elevate the more rustic features of the venue. Their reception, by contrast, showcased a striking palette of white, gold, and black, creating an atmosphere that was at once modern and romantic. Every guest was transported into a magical setting filled with heart, sophistication, and warm personal details throughout the celebration.Christian and Cheyenne entrusted Shari and the Pink Wasabi Events team with full creative freedom — and we embraced that trust wholeheartedly. Our goal was to bring their vision of a sophisticated tropical wedding to life, balancing island vibrancy with chic, contemporary design. The result? A celebration that will be talked about for years to come by both families.

Modern Tropical Meets Elevated Elegance

To set the tone for the ceremony, we introduced large LED pillar candles lining the aisle and altar — adding romantic glow and dimension to the outdoor setting. The altar was styled with lush tropical arrangements, including white orchid plants and large palms, which brought softness and grandeur to the venue’s existing wooden chuppah. A custom circular chandelier suspended above the altar created a dramatic focal point that enhanced the luxurious feel of the space.

The floral palette was intentionally kept crisp and textural, playing with various shades of green, creamy ivory, and soft white blooms to maintain the clean, tropical-modern balance the couple envisioned. Every design element — from linen selection to menus, signage, and paper goods — was custom-designed by our team to reflect Christian and Cheyenne’s unique tastes and cultural heritage.

A Reception Drenched in Style and Meaning

The reception design paid homage to both Caribbean warmth and city sophistication. The head table was a true showstopper, featuring a dramatic row of 4-foot-tall tropical arrangements in sleek gold vessels, grounded by low, lush floral compositions in soft ivory tones.

To maintain visual interest throughout the room, guest tables alternated between towering tropical centerpieces — echoing the lush palms used in the ceremony — and sculptural candle groupings that added intimacy and glow. The resulting effect was modern, luxurious, and deeply atmospheric.

Every visual moment was curated with care and intention — from the floral arrangements to the tablescapes — ensuring that the couple and their guests were immersed in an environment that felt both elevated and deeply personal.

A Celebration We’ll Never Forget

To say we were proud of this wedding would be an understatement. It was an honor to bring such a layered and meaningful vision to life, and to witness the love between two people so full of joy, style, and grace.

Christian and Cheyenne, thank you for trusting Pink Wasabi Events to design your day. We are so proud to have been a part of the beginning of your forever.

Stephanie and Daniel’s wedding at MAPS Backlot in Miami, Florida was nothing short of extraordinary. With a stunning palette of terracotta and neutral tones, the design struck a beautiful balance between modern minimalism and rustic romance — resulting in a timeless atmosphere filled with joy, warmth, and personality. From the moment guests arrived, they were immersed in a celebration that was rich with thoughtful design and heartfelt energy. Crisp white linens contrasted beautifully with vibrant orange floral arrangements, infusing the industrial setting with life and vibrancy. The aesthetic was clean, chic, and completely reflective of the love surrounding Stephanie and Daniel’s big day.

Charming Activations with a Personal Twist

One of the most memorable moments of the evening was the couple’s creative seating display. Guests were greeted by pink Himalayan salt shot glasses filled with margaritas — a playful nod to celebration and a clever icebreaker that instantly set the tone. Each shot glass was custom-decorated by our talented friend at Ava Paper Co., featuring the guest’s name in hand-lettered calligraphy on the front and their table number on the back. These personalized details doubled as keepsakes, turning a fun party favor into a lasting memory.

When the Rain Came — and Magic Followed

No wedding is complete without a story, and this one came in the form of torrential Miami rain. Despite every effort to secure a tent for our outdoor backup plan, the venue’s restrictions meant that option wasn’t possible. But what happened next was something even a planner couldn’t script — the love and positivity from Stephanie and Daniel, their families, and their guests never wavered.

The rain didn’t dampen their spirits — it amplified them. Everyone came together, kept the energy high, and welcomed the weather as part of their story. When the skies finally cleared, what followed was one of the most epic celebrations our team has ever witnessed.

As a planner, I’ve seen a lot — but this was the first time I cried like a baby. Their joy, their resilience, and their unwavering happiness moved me to tears, and I will carry the memory of that night with me always.

A Night to Remember

Stephanie and Daniel’s wedding was more than a beautiful event. It was a testament to the power of love, the strength of community, and the beauty that happens when we embrace the unexpected with grace and joy.

From the terracotta tones to the tequila-infused welcome, from rainstorms to roaring dance floors, this night was unforgettable — not just for the couple, but for everyone lucky enough to be a part of it.

On the sun-soaked shores of Miami Beach, Adam and Cassandra brought their vision of a romantic, Italian countryside wedding to life. Hosted at the elegant Cadillac Hotel, their celebration was a heartfelt destination wedding that beautifully honored their Italian heritage while uniting family from both Canada and Italy. This intimate wedding of just 60 guests was overflowing with love, elegance, and the spirit of connection. From the start, the couple wanted to create an experience that would feel like a warm embrace for their guests — and our team was honored to bring that vision to life.

A Ceremony with a View

The wedding ceremony took place in the Cadillac Suite, with its private terrace offering breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean. As waves crashed in the distance, Adam and Cassandra exchanged vows surrounded by their closest loved ones, creating an unforgettable moment steeped in beauty and emotion.

Old-World Charm Meets Miami Modern

After the ceremony, guests were welcomed to the Riviera Terrace and Room for a dinner and reception that blended Italian charm with Miami sophistication. The tables were dressed in classic linens, romantic floral arrangements, and soft lighting that evoked the feeling of dining under the stars in Tuscany.

The cuisine was a true highlight of the evening. Donna Mare Italian Chophouse, the Cadillac Hotel’s on-site restaurant, served a menu of authentic Italian dishes that paid homage to the couple’s roots. From handmade pastas to perfectly grilled meats, every bite was a celebration of tradition and flavor.

Planning with Heart After the Pandemic

Cultural Destination Wedding at Samsara in the Redlands

Breanne and CJ’s wedding was a breathtaking celebration of love, heritage, and artistry. Hosted at Samsara in the Redlands, their Miami destination wedding was filled with soul, intentional design, and rich cultural storytelling that made every guest feel not just included — but inspired. This private tropical estate, surrounded by lush palms and botanical beauty, served as the perfect backdrop for their celebration. Our design approach honored the property’s natural oasis while layering in meaningful details that celebrated the couple’s African American and Jamaican heritage throughout the entire day.

Designing with Heart and Heritage

One of the most personal touches came in the form of vibrant bougainvillea florals, incorporated at the request of Breanne in honor of her grandmother. Knowing how deeply the gesture would touch her, we wove the florals throughout the ceremony and reception design to ensure her spirit was felt and celebrated.

Tablescapes are a creative highlight in any celebration, and this wedding was no exception. Breanne and CJ encouraged our team to embrace bold color, layered textures, and artistic styling — and the result was nothing short of extraordinary. Every table told a story, blending modern design with warmth, soul, and expressive energy.

Stationery That Spoke Volumes

Every piece of stationery and signage was custom-designed and full of meaning. From the invitation suite to the reception signage, the designs were infused with cultural symbolism and intentional storytelling. Each table was named after a prominent figure in African American or Caribbean history, complete with a brief excerpt about their contributions to the arts, activism, and cultural heritage.

This thoughtful detail sparked conversations throughout the evening, drawing guests deeper into the couple’s story and values. It was design with depth — the kind that lingers long after the last dance.

Flavors of Love: Soul Food Meets Jamaican Tradition

We partnered with our friends at Style Catering to bring the celebration full circle with a culinary experience that paid homage to both sides of the couple’s heritage. The menu featured a fusion of traditional Jamaican dishes and classic American Soul Food, creating a delicious and heartfelt tribute to their families and backgrounds.

It wasn’t just a meal — it was a cultural love affair expressed through flavor, and a highlight for every guest in attendance.

A Wedding That Moved Us

This wedding was a true joy for our team to design and produce. From the emotional family touches to the cultural symbolism, every element was a reminder of what happens when love meets intention and heritage meets celebration.

Breanne and CJ, thank you for trusting us to bring your vision to life. Your wedding was not only visually stunning — it was deeply meaningful, and we are honored to have been part of your story.
